Willowbrook Massage Academy was born out of the passion and commitment of it’s founder and instructor, Therri Wadel. With 25 years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist and 12 years as a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) Therri recognized a significant gap in quality of massage training in Kansas, a state where the industry lacks regulation or licensing. Driven by a desire to dispel the misconceptions and stigma often linked to massage therapy, Therri identified a crucial need for comprehensive education to ensure safe and effective massage treatments. Her goal is to reshape the narrative around massage therapy, highlighting its benefits and importance in healthcare while bolstering the profession’s credibility. This realization inspired the foundation of Willowbrook Massage Academy. Through the academy, Therri is dedicated to elevating the standards of massage therapy education by providing students with a robust learning experience. Her commitment ensures that students receive thorough training and acquire essential skills for successful careers in the industry, thus enhancing the profession’s reputation and effectiveness.
